Over the course of the last 14 years, Mark Cuban has paid out almost $2 million worth of fines given to him by David Stern and the NBA. The league has fined the outspoken Mavericks owner 19 times, with most of those fines coming about as a result of Cuban criticizing the NBA's referees. But apparently, Cuban isn't bitter about all of the fines that he's had to pay off.

Actually, Cuban sounds like he enjoys getting fined by the NBA. So according to him, he's going to try and get fined one more time this month before Stern retires at the beginning of February. He's already told Stern to keep an eye out for something that he's going to say or do before the end of January.

"We talk about it all the time," Cuban revealed earlier today. "I'm going to have one final fine before he leaves."

Or is he? Stern knows Cuban is going to do everything he can to get fined. But thanks to a bunch of recent fines that he has handed out—including the $50,000 fine the NBA gave to J.R. Smith last week—he says that Cuban is really going to have to work for a fine.

"I know he is trying," Stern said from the Nets/Mavericks game in London today, "but our muffin fund coffers are overflowing."

Oh, Commish. How we will miss you when you're gone.

Let's hope Cubes has something really special that he brings out to earn his final fine on Stern's watch.
