10 Coaches the Knicks Should Hire

The Knicks stink.

None

The Knicks are 10-22 and Mike Woodson still has a job. He refuses to call plays and he continues to give J.R. Smith the green light. A couple weeks after Andrea Bargnani took one of the dumbest shots of his career, J.R. Smith followed up by doing the same thing. With 20 seconds left and the SHOT CLOCK OFF, Earl took a three and clanked it. This, after he looked disgusted with Bargnani's shot. It might be time for Mike Woodson to go. He's a solid coach but not one that can get a team to the promised land. He makes questionable decisions in the playoffs, uses isolation too much, and locked up against the cot damn Wizards this season. No wonder the Knicks melted down in the postseason the last two years under him.

With his job hanging in the balance, we've decided to make a half serious list of their coaching candidates. Because at this point anybody would be better than what Coach Woody has to offer. These are the 10 Coaches the Knicks Should Hire.

Patrick Ewing

When is Pat gonna get a shot? He's only been an assistant for like 15 years. Anybody can do a better job than what Woody is doing. We passed on Mark Jackson and look what he's doing with Golden State. Maybe Pat can run some Riley/Van Gundy plays and bring us back to dominance. He could probably teach these fools how to play hard for a whole 48 minutes, too. It's not like they get paid fat sums of money to play basketball.

Eddie

I mean she turned around a team with a washed John Sally on it (he's always been washed but still). Whoopi came from out the stands and took them to the playoffs. This is the shot in the arm the Knicks need. Wild Bill makes James Dolan look like an amateur.

Shaka Smart

He might never leave VCU but a fan can dream. Shaka seems to be able to maximize talent. VCU doesn't get the best recruits but always manages to make some noise in March. Give this guy some resources and watch him cook. He's a natural born teacher of the game. Someone will pay him big money to leave, might as well be the Knicks and their infinite bank account.

Spike Lee

How hasn't this happened already? Maybe because he's paid to work the officials and get under the skin of the opposing team's star players. I know that doesn't work, but hear me out. No one walking God's green earth loves the Knicks more than Spike. He works them into his movies, flys across the country to watch them lose live, and he puts himself in the line of fire on Twitter and on the court. Give Spike a crack at it, Dolan.

Phil Jackson

Why not? They've been flirting with him since Jordan was using and abusing John Starks. We like giving old people money anyway.

Tom Thibodeau

Did you know Thibs was an assistant for the Knicks for many years? That's some typical Knicks shit right there. Why would they hire a former assistant instead of going after a big name like Mike D'Antoni? Now he's flourishing in Chicago but he might be talked into leaving since Derrick Rose can't seem to stay healthy. He might be just what the Knicks need to bring their defensive identity back.

LeBron James

Give him whatever he wants. LeBron wants to be the first player/coach since Bill Russell? Ok. He wants three chicks to give him a shea butter massage before and after games? Give it to him. If he wants Chris Smith to be the 12th man, so be it. If James wants 51 percent of the Garden? You give it to him, Jimmy. They already cleaned house to bring him to New York but instead had to settle for Amar'e's expired knees and Melo's leadership skills. Promise him the world, Dolan. Shit, give him your girl too.

Knicks Twitter

Have you ever followed a Knicks game on Twitter? Us Knickerbocker fans are the absolute worst. We live and die by these fucking bums. Decades of high expectations with a flaming bag of shit reality. When we win (yes, we!), Melo's the greatest, Miami don't want it, etc. When we lose? Trade everybody! Fuck Melo! Did J.R. go out last night? Don't let him in the clubs, NYC! It's a range of emotions that favor a bipolar psychopath.

But there are voices of reason and folks that truly love the Orange and Blue. @netw3rk, @seth_rosenthal, @KG_NYK, and @RealLifeKaz are the ringleaders, follow them because they can coach the Knicks back to prosperity.

The Kid Mero and Desus

Have you heard their podcast? Do you follow them on Twitter (Desus) (Mero)? Have you read Mero's tips on how to fix the Knicks? These two know what the Knicks need. They are wise and logical. Get hit with knowledge darts in the mental as you watch Bronx's finest turn the Knickerbockers of New York around.

James Dolan

This guy has the nerve to have a blues band. What the fuck does a billionaire by lineage know about the blues? He fired Glen Grunwald because he didn't want Andrea Bargnani (allegedly). Because it's not like Grunwald was the architect of a 54-win team. Then he hires Steve muthafuckin' Mills to take his job. The same Steve Mills from the Isiah Thomas Era. Speaking of Zeke, Dolan is still BFFs with Thomas. The same Thomas that ruined the franchise with bad trades, contracts, and a sexual harassment case. YOU COACH THE KNICKS, DOLAN! THIS IS YOUR MESS.
