The folks over at Staples Center came up with the perfect entrance song for Kobe Bryant. After spending months recovering that Achilles heel, the Lakers welcomed him in a manner that was slightly tongue in cheek, playing "The Imperial March" as he made his entrance. Bryant did have a bunch of cheers from the audience, however, so he was obviously more than welcome back in the lineup.

As expected, Bryant hasn't been spectacular in his first half of play. The Black Mamba scored five points on 2-of-5 shooting, and one of those missed shots was an airball, which happened to be his first shot of the game.

UPDATE: Kobe Bryant finished with nine points and eight turnovers in the Lakers' 106-94 loss to the Raptors.
