It's about time, Drew Brees. This quarterback took forever to throw for over 50,000 yards. This man has been starting since 2002, and he's just now reached the milestone.  And this is an "elite quarterback?" So overrated.

OK, just kidding. This is another huge Brees accomplishment because he's just the fifth quarterback to surpass the mark, with Peyton ManningBrett Favre, Dan Marino, and John Elway being the other four. He's also the quickest to do so:

Peyton Manning was the fastest to 50,000 yards in his 191st game. Drew Brees just got there in game 183.

The accomplishment comes during a 31-13 win over the Panthers. Brees ended Carolina's eight-game winning streak with his 313-yard, four touchdown performance.
