As we told you earlier this morning, there are quite a few sports fans in Oregon who are having a tough time getting out of bed today. That's because the Oregon Ducks lost to the Stanford Cardinal last night and took themselves out of the BCS National Championship picture in the process. But there are also some sports fans in Oregon who are really, really, really happy today. Why? Well, in addition to the Oregon football game, there was also a pretty big—okay, a REALLY big—MLS playoff matchup last night between the Portland Timbers and the Seattle Sounders. And it ended with the Timbers earning a 3-2 victory over the Sounders, which assured them of a spot in the MLS Western Conference Finals against Real Salt Lake. So Timbers fans are ecstatic right now.
