Texas Rangers ended by the season by narrowly missing the playoffs, and the averageness of the Cowboys's season hasn't helped heal that Texas sports fan wound. There's a glimmer of hope, and its name is Prince Fielder.
Fielder has been traded to the Rangers in exchange for second baseman Ian Kinsler. The Rangers-Tigers deal will be finalized when the two complete their physicals.
Fielder is a five-time All Star, 2011 All Star MVP, two-time Home Run Derby winner, and three-time Silver Slugger award winner. He went .279 with 25 home runs last season. On the other hand, Kinsler changes team after spending the entirety of his eight-year career with the Rangers.
