Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz wants a large crowd to turn up at the Cardinals' Preseason WNIT semifinals game against LSU on Thursday night. So he's promising to do something special for the first 2,500 fans who show up at the game. He's promising to buy them a beer.

That's right. The first 2,500 people who shows up at the KFC Yum! Center (yes, that's really the name of Louisville's arena) are going to receive a voucher for a free beer, which they can use at any concession stand inside the arena. The promotion was Walz's idea and is being used to try and entice more Louisville students to come out to see the Louisville women's team play. It's going to cost Walz about $5000 to buy all the beer for the fans.

"We're just trying to have a little bit of a good time here at the ballgame," he said. "We're just trying to get some of our fans who haven't come out to come on out one time and get a drink and enjoy the ballgame, and hopefully grab the attention of a few more fans."

Free beer? YES PLEASE! Expect a packed house at the Yum! Center on Thursday night.
