We loved leaked photos; they feel just taboo enough to be fun.
What is now the BMW 1-Series is becoming the BMW 2-Series, as the 1-Series name will be inhabited by Mini-based FWD hatchbacks. Given that the 1-Series is one of our favorite Bimmers, this means that we're very excited to see the M235i coupe. Of course, we're still hoping for an M2 with a proper differential, but that might upstage the M4, so don't count on it.
Expect the M235i to have the familiar 320 hp 3.0L twin-scroll turbocharged I6 that should get the car to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds with an eight-speed automatic transmission or 5.0 seconds with a six-speed manual. A sportier body kit can bee seen here, and some suspension updates can be expected as well.
