Four-wheelers and hip-hop have a long and celebrated history. Sure, ATVs don’t exactly have the same rap game cache as Bentleys and Maybachs, but from the Ruff Ryders tearing up the block in '90s to more recent 4-wheel love shown by Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and Chief Keef, ATVs have long been a fixture in the hip-hop world.

Since DMX and company ushered 4-wheelers into the hip-hop consciousness, there have been a number of important milestones in the relationship between rappers and and their off-road recreational vehicles. We have seen 4-wheelers in all sorts of hip-hop locales, from the mean streets of Philly to the dystopian Thunderdome of Tupac’s "California Love". Yes, rappers love 4-wheelers and it looks like that isn’t going to change any time soon. Let’s take a moment to celebrate hip-hop’s favorite recreational vehicle with A History of 4-Wheelers in Hip-Hop.
