Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the young, up-and-comer in the league while Wilt Chamberlain was the center who was trying not to get overshadowed by KAJ's growing star. As a result, both guys weren't fond of one another and it showed out on the court. As a fan, it made for some entertaining, hard-nosed basketball, which is probably something missing from the game these days.
