The Ferrari LaFerrari is absolutely spectacular in every thing but name, and that due largely to the hybrid system the exotic Italian company engineered. Regarding the potential for more hybrids from Ferrari, chairman Luca di Montezemolo said “I don’t believe in the electric cars, but I strongly believe in hybrids.”
That said, we can remember a time when building a hybrid was completely out of the question for Ferrari. As the industry changes, Ferrari will too, and with no research being done on hydrogen tech by the Maranello-based company, we think the electric Ferrari might be here sooner than di Montezemolo thinks.
