During a bad storm, your car is one of the safest places you can be. The metal frame of your car will help to protect you in the event of a lightning strike and will actually prevent you from being directly affected by the lightning. Just ask the Morlock family from St. George, Utah.

The Morlocks were driving in a bad storm recently when one of the family's three sons prayed for the family car to get struck by lightning. "While we were driving, I said, 'I hope we get struck by lighting,' because we were in a real bad storm," Taylor Morlock revealed recently.

And sure enough, that's exactly what happened. As you can see in the video above, which was captured by someone in the car that day, lightning struck the family's car. But don't worry. Outside of three blown tires, the family car and, more importantly, the family was fine after the lightning strike.

Still, it was a pretty scary incident, and we bet that Taylor won't be praying for lightning again anytime soon.
