Retro Year in Sports: 1995

"I'm Back"

One of those rumored replacement players was none other then His Airness himself (though he swore he wouldn't do it). Fresh off a soul searching quest that saw him busing it in the Minors and batting .202 in AA; Michael Jordan returned to basketball on March 18 with a two word press release: "I'm back," providing the NBA with their highest regular season ratings in 20 years. A week and a half into his resumed NBA career MJ lit up the Knicks for 55 in Madison Square Garden. The Bulls eventually lost to the Magic in six games in the second round of the playoffs but the foundation was established for a second three-peat via Michael's rejuvenated desire (and knees).
