It's funny to think about what the expectations were before the 2012-13 NBA season. The Lakers and Clippers were supposed to make deep runs in the playoffs, the Heat was thought to be more than capable of defending the crown, the Spurs were still supposed to be too old and boring, and Tracy McGrady's NBA career was pretty much over.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong (except for maybe Miami). Both L.A. teams got booted in the first round, San Antonio turned out to be a sort of exciting team to watch, and T-Mac came back with a clutch performance in Game 3 of the Finals. Hey, San Antonio may have never won by more than 30 points if McGrady didn't get those three assists.
We kid, but if these past four games have been any indicator, Miami and San Antonio's race for two more Ws will be nothing but exciting—just like the majority of these playoffs have been. Revisit The Best of the 2013 NBA Playoffs.
