Signature Game: 2008 Eastern Conference Semifinals, Game 7
With his numerous standout playoff performances, Paul Pierce has cemented his reputation as the best big-game Celtic since Larry Bird. His duel with LeBron James in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals was eerily reminiscent of Larry Bird's showdown with Dominique Wilkins 20 years earlier, and just as before the Celtics rode their star's performance to a huge win. Pierce had been at the center of huge playoff rallies before, sparking the Celtics to one of the biggest comebacks in NBA playoff history as he poured in 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Celtics overcome a 21-point fourth quarter deficit in Game 3 of the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals against the New Jersey Nets.
