We celebrate this tax day with a collection of athletes who either cheated their taxes or ended up destitute. Not all of them are in the red (just most) but they've all had trouble managing their overwhelming fortunes. John Elway isn't broke but he did lose $15 million through fraud which is a harder hit than he ever took in the NFL. Mike Tyson really owned two white Bengal tigers and Latrell Sprewell should've signed that Timberwolves contract.
With that said, we want to welcome this April 15 by showing you the range of emotions you can experience from falling from the top so instantly and so publicly. After all, you may never have a bank account with eight zeroes but at least when you fail it’s not made into a slideshow called, The Many Struggle Faces of Broke Athletes.
