Team/Player: Bob Feller
Feller was one of the all-time great pitchers, but his 1946 season (the last before integration) was truly absurd. He went the distance in 36 of his 42 starts, including three where he went 10.0 or more innings, and only once failed to at least get through the fifth frame. Given that he was often working on three days' rest, Feller did not always have his best stuff; it's worth wondering, then, if he would have been able to complete so many games if the hitters had been a bit better. Jackie Robinson, Josh Gibson and others all would likely have had success against the Cleveland right-hander, significantly reducing this impressive total of complete games.
