Team/Player: New York Yankees
Date: 1923-1943

Without a doubt, the New York Yankees are the gold standard for success in professional sports. No matter how much money you spend compared to your competition, it simply is not possible to win 27 championships by accident. However, some of the shine does come off the Yankees dynasty if you consider that they won 10 of those titles before Jackie Robinson's debut in 1947. Prior to integration, the Negro Leagues were housing some of the finest baseball talent in the country; if a team like the 1935 Pittsburgh Crawfords (who had five Hall of Famers in their lineup) got a shot at the Yankees, we doubt the Bombers would have raised so many championship banners.
