Miller played his entire career with the Indiana Pacers, reaching the NBA Finals for the only time in 2000 when they fell to the juggernaut Lakers. Despite his lack of championships, Miller is still best known for his playoff heroics. Trailing by six points at Madison Square Garden with just over 18 seconds to play, Miller somehow scored eight points in 8.9 seconds to steal a Game 1 victory away from the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. For his career, Miller averaged 20-plus points six times, and at least 16 points for a 13-year stretch between 1988-89 and 2001-02. He is currently 14th all-time in points scored for a career, although he will likely be passed by several active players in the coming seasons.
