Laughing at Russia's misguided automotive output is a thing of the past. Lada has new legs—some of them are pretty damn fast (and really cool). The recently debuted Lada Granta Sport hits 62 mph in 9.5 seconds, spurred by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder ending with 120 horsepower.

This is, for lack of more defined terminology a budget minded sports sedan. It's also got an aggressive body kit that makes us think of '80s BMWs. Ok, that is a stretch of the aesthetic imagination. But still, its not bad. Any downfalls? Yes, this car is forbidden fruit and will only sell in three or four European countries.

Perhaps, though, reason to consider the Dodge Dart GT.
