Mario Kart is awesome. It's so awesome, that we tend to have fantasies about getting some real karts and doing it in the real world. However, firing turtles at high speed at your friends from a moving vehicle comes with a variety of serious problems, not the least of which is PETA's paramilitary division, Operatives for the Unethical Treatment of Humans. 

Luckily, Waterloo labs has figured out how to make power-ups with embedded RFID chips interact with karts, thus side stepping the animal cruelty, the disgusting mess, and the kale-stained note taped to the kukri lodged in the back of your skull.
