The star of the 2010 Paris Auto Show, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, let off a sinister snarl when it was unveiled. The Auto world gave off a deep, rumbling cheer in 2011, when the Italian automaker announced that the concept car would eventually hit production.
Now, two years later, we've got the details.
Unlike the Aventador, which has an aluminum sub-frame, the Sesto Elemento is all carbon fiber. The drivetrain will, however, follow familiar territory—its the same 5.2-liter V-10 setup as in the AWD Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera. Thanks to the lightweight body structure, this engine will take the Sesto to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds.
Sound exciting? Hell yeah it does. An estimated price of $2.6 million and a limited run of just 20 will make spotting one in the flesh (almost) as exciting as owning one.
