In theory, the Detroit Lions should be one of the best teams in the NFC this season. They've got a quality quarterback in Matthew Stafford. They have arguably the best wide receiver in the league in Calvin Johnson. And, although their defensive secondary isn't very good, they've got a pretty solid D line that includes Ndamukong Suh. And yet…they're 4-8 and sitting in last place in the NFC North. It doesn't make much sense.
Or, does it? According to one anonymous Lions player, the team has all the talent in the world. But, they don't know what it takes to win.
"We're loaded," the player said recently. "But we have a couple of guys who don't understand what it takes to win. Just making a couple of plays and thinking that makes you great…sometimes you want to just shake some of these guys and say, 'Don't you get it?'"
And, he didn't stop there. The player went on to name exactly who doesn't "get it."
"Ndamukong would be first," he said.
Wow. We knew that guys on other teams hated Suh. But, now, at least one of his own teammates does, too?! This team is in worse shape than we thought.
