Brian Scalabrine aka the White Mamba recently told an ESPNChicago radio show that he can beat the average human in a game of one on one. Scalabrine is known to be a career bench warmer that played for the Nets, Celtics and Bulls. He turned down an assistant coaching job with Chicago to call Celtics games for Comcast SportsNet New England. Most people think he's a bum and cannot believe how he has managed to have an 11-year NBA career.

He sent out a challenge to people that feel that way, or at least those that live in the Boston-area, saying:

“In Boston right now, we have this challenge going out. I do a radio show out there, and there are people on the street that really believe they can beat me. So we’re doing tryouts for the top 10 people in Boston to play me one-on-one.

“And we’re playing to 11. And we’re gonna film it, everything. The reality of people and what they think NBA players are like. I’m the last guy on the bench and I will kick your butt if you’re out on the streets. It’s just the way it is.”

Do you think you have what it takes to beat the White Mamba? We got our money on the redhead. He hustles, played on a championship team and has one of the deadliest three point shots the game has ever seen. We hope he's wearing a headband when he crosses you up and hits a J in yo' face!
