We've seen many times that David Stern is capable of doing actions of varying levels of gangster. Gregg Popovich found out the hard way when he was fined last month by the boss. The commissioner even took shots at the President of the United States'game...with a smirk, too. However, whether you love or hate him, Stern is giving us five Christmas matchups this season instead of prior years' two. Joy to the world.

However, San Fransisco Chronicle writer Bruce Jenkins suggests otherwise:

None

After quoting former head coach Phil Jackson's grievances against the games, Jenkins went on to say, "Jackson is among many observers who point out the obvious: that Stern, who celebrates Hanukkah, has no real feel for Christmas in the first place."

But are Christmas games really a bad thing? Year after year, many families and friends bond over watching the star-studded NBA matchups during Christmas. Stern is gully, but perhaps "distasteful" is a bit strong.
