Kevin Garnett is one crazy dude. We got a whole list to prove it. But, underneath all that intensity, he has compassion. Last night, we were able to see that side following the Celtics' 101-89 loss to the Houston Rockets when Garnett embraced Kevin McHale, a person he's known his entire NBA career and who recently lost his 23-year-old daughter Sasha to lupus.
After the game, McHale spoke briefly on his relationship with Garnett saying, "Oh you know, KG and I, we go way back. He’s a good guy. There will always be a special place in my heart for Kevin." The unique bond between players and coaches that goes beyond sports were on display here and the moment couldn't be more endearing.
