Everyone's favorite NYC staple, the taxi cab, is about to become a larger presence on the city's streets. In an effort to make catching a cab a bit easier, the city has a plan to add 2,000 of the omnipresent yellow rides to it's current fleet. Transport economist Charles Komanoff, however does not think this is a good idea at all, estimating an added 12-percent congestion on the streets. Does NYC need more taxi cabs?
