When Lin Hu walked into his local VW dealership in southern China, all he was looking for was a new car. The visit ended in action movie-level excitement. Casually sliding the car into gear, Lin Hu nearly drove the automobile off the dealership building. Yes, he crashed through a window. And, thankfully was able to escape through the back doors as the car balanced precariously.

A few questions arise here—why was he allowed to start the car? Why was he allowed to put it in gear? And, finally, how had this potential danger not been realized before? In any event, this drive shattered expectations. [Motoring Exposure]
