There are very few NBA players that we'd refer to as a "beast." Blake Griffin? Sure. Dwight Howard (when he's actually playing instead of demanding trades)? Sure. Pau Gasol? Ehhhhhhh. When it comes to the Lakers big man, we tend to side with Chris Paul.
But, according to Gasol, he's been focused on getting stronger and playing more like a 7-footer this summer. And, he's already giving himself a new title to go along with his newfound strength.
"I'm a beast," he told Reuters recently. "I have been preparing myself and working to get better this summer."
A beast, though? A beast? We'll believe it when we see it next season.
