Jose Bautista hit some towering home runs last night. But, unfortunately, Prince Fielder hit more than he did and took him the trophy for winning the 2012 Home Run Derby. So, afterwards, MLB.com writer Jordan Bastian caught up with Joey Bats (best nickname in baseball?) to talk about coming up short in the Derby. And, Bautista unleashed a gem on him by quoting Talladega Nights to express his disappointment.
Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista: "It's like Ricky Bobby said: 'If you're not first, you're last.' That's the way I look at things."
You might've lost the Derby, Jose. But, after dropping that quote, you're still a winner to us!
