Being a champion has just as much to do with a player's mental toughness as it does his or her physical ability to dominate. Kobe Bryant once again proved why he is one of the most clutch basketball players to ever walk the planet against the New Orleans Hornets Saturday. After going a frigid 0-15 through the first three quarters of play, Bryant finally made his first bucket with 7:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, leaving the Lakers behind by 10, 77-67. Refusing to let the game get away, Kobe hit four free throws and went 2-5 the rest of the game, including a three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining to put the Lakers up 86-85. It was pretty much everything we expect from this messed up lockout season wrapped into one.
