Usually, the act of one player giving another person their number doesn't go over so well. There's always negotiations that include everything from some lucrative financial compensation to swapping of personal possessions to a number of other odd requests. After officially joining the New York Jets earlier this week, Tim Tebow had to expect some outlandish demands from the current owner of the #15 jersey, Scotty McKnight. But when the time came for Tebow to face the music and confront McKnight about acquiring the number, the response wasn't exactly what he expected.

The Jets recently re-signed wide receiver just gave the number away for nothing in return. Personally, McKnight felt that the number is cursed. He may have a point. In his first season with Gang Green last year, Scotty received minimal playing time during the preseason, eventually got placed on the team's practice squad and tore his ACL. Sounds like the number is bad omen, huh? Yet how cursed is the number if you can still land (see what we did there?) someone as hot as Hayden Panettiere?
