After a rough 2011 and a tough start to 2012, Penn State is trying to get things turned around on campus. THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, is steering them in the right direction. THON is a 40-year old campaign created to raise money for the battle against pediatric cancer that culminates each year in a 46-hour dance marathon. Continually growing, THON announced it raised $10,686,924.83 at the 2012 event, which took place at the Bryce Jordan Center this past weekend.
