@$#%^&#! That was our reaction when we heard this latest story concerning Chris Bosh. Because, truth be told? We were actually kinda, sorta starting to not hate the guy. After seeing him stroke a three at the buzzer against the Hawks last week to send a game into overtime—a game that featured LeBron JamesandDwayne Wade sitting on the bench in suits with injuries—we were reminded that, once upon a time (a whole two years ago!), Bosh was actually a pretty fuckin' good player in Toronto. So maybe it was time for us to stop doing posts like this, and focus on his strengths on the basketball court.
Unfortunately, he ruined that moment by coming out this week and publicly crying about how admitting he's sick and tired of people calling him names. That's right. For all those of you who've resorted to calling him "Bosh Spice," he wants you to knock it the hell off.
"People created this stigma about me and they just ran with it," he said. "And once it was out there, everyone ran with it. It was just talk. There was no evidence to back it up. The name-calling and stuff, it got a little too out of hand. If you want to say my game isn't where it's supposed to be, fine. But the name calling, that's not journalism. Too many people, especially when they don't know me, were just saying a whole lot of stuff that wasn't true."
We agree. Although he asked for all of this by coming to the Heat, Bosh has come under criticism a little too often since he's been in Miami for things that have absolutely nothing to do with his skills on the court. But, waaaaaaah! Waaaaaaah! WAAAAAAAH! Crying about it isn't gonna help, CB4. Go out and continue playing like you have so far this season and then maybe we'll all STFU and stop calling you names. But, until then? Expect it to continue. Especially now that you've brought it up and made it an issue again.
