An NFL Player Gets Indicted For Trafficking Marijuana

Jail time could be in his future.

None

Remember when Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpsongot busted back in September when his girlfriend signed for a package that came to his house containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana? Well, even if you have forgotten about it by now (Sam Hurd made that shipment look miniscule, didn't he?), a grand jury in Kentucky hasn't. And they've indicted him on one count of trafficking marijuana—a charge that could force Simpson to serve anywhere from one to five years in prison. Sucks to be him, as that could put a serious damper on his future in the NFL. But, hey, if he has played his last game in the league, at least he went out with a bang, right?
