USA softball legend Jennie Finch doesn't like being outdone in any aspect of her life, and the 2011 New York Marathon was no different.
Finch explained to Complex in September that she was using former New York Giants star Amani Toomer's success of passing 25,000 in the 2010 New York Marathon as her benchmark. Despite giving birth just four and a half months ago, Finch cruised past that number in this year's race, passing approximately 30,000 people and finishing with a time of 4:05:26.
In partnership with Timex and the New York Road Runners, Finch started in dead last to begin the race and earned a dollar for every participant she passed. Olympic speed skater Apolo Ohno also participated in the race and raised $26,000 through his partnership with Subway.
