According to Kazushi Yoshida, CEO of Subaru Motor, the Japanese car company is thinking of building a manufacturing plant in Russia to be operational by the year 2015. In an interview with Russia's RBC Daily, Yoshida stated that a number of Russian auto producers had approached Subaru with offers of setting up their own production in Russa but no decision had been finalized. The company is considering using the Russian Far Wast as the location for this new plant which would aim to produce 25,000-35,000 cars annually. The figure is deemed fit by the prediction that Subaru's sales in Russia will reach 30,000 by the middle of the decade. The cars would be sold at Subaru's 37 dealerships throughout Russia, which is the company's third most important market behind the U.S. and China.
