Few people know what it's like to get criticized as often as LeBron James has over the course of the last year. Fortunately for him, Kobe Bryant is one of those people. So when he was asked about the way Bron-Bron's been getting treated recently, Kobe had some strong words for his detractors.

"I think people need to lay off that kid, that's what I think," KB24 said. "I've gotten to know him pretty well, playing with the Olympic team, and I think they just need to back off him and just let him play and let him live his life and let him make his decisions and let him mature as a player...It's tough to be under the microscope like that all the time. So, I would like everybody to just back off of him and just let him play."

Um, yeah. You've got a point, Kobe. But, at this point, we're more likely to see you and Shaq kicking it at the club together than we are to see the media leaving King James alone. Nice try, though. [via Sun-Sentinel]
