Ever wonder what happens to those fuel tanks that fall off during each space shuttle launch? Well if your parents took you on a tour of Cape Canaveral back in the day, you might remember that the twin boosters fall back down into the ocean. But they don't just leave them out there to corrode away. Believe it or not, there's a seafaring crew whose job it is to track and recover the spent boosters, then bring them back to land.

In this first video from NASA to document the process, you'll see each step of this astronomically-sized scavenger hunt play out on camera, as the crew tracks down the ditched remnants of Discovery's final February 24th flight . Why now? Well with only one planned shuttle mission left, there's really nothing to hide any more, is there?
