We were all hyped up this morning after we heard that there was a video of Spud Webb—the 5'7" point guard who bested Dominique Wilkins in the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest—throwing down a dunk 25 years after the fact. And while we're not quite as impressed after actually seeing it (we're gonna go ahead and assume that there was a trampoline that was juuuuuust out of view of the camera here—watch and you'll see what we mean), we still wanted to take a moment to give Spud his props for being just one of only two sub-six footers (Nate Rob is the other) to win the Slam Dunk Contest in NBA history. Fly high, little man. [via theScore]
Spud Webb Can Still Dunk...Sort Of
Can you believe it's been 25 years since Spud won the Slam Dunk Contest?!
