Complex says: South Korea are the outsiders for 2022. They cohosted as recently as 2002, and while that means they have transport and sporting infrastructure in place, FIFA tends to like to spread the tournament around a bit. Their technological facilities are a big plus, but recent conflict with North Korea has done them no favors, despite their previous suggestion that hosting a couple of games in the North could held bring peace to the peninsula. Additionally, PyeongChang’s bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics has limited their campaigning.
