Chris Cole at the Maloof Money Cup. June 6th, 2010
Big shouts to Chris Cole for robotically shutting shit down at the 2010 Maloof Money Cup yesterday, skating home with the first place spot and a cool $100K at the first New York incarnation of The Maloof Money Cup. This baller contest was first put together by Joe and Gavin Maloof in 2008 and runs on a simple platform: get a team of pro skateboarders to design a park, invite the top pros to skate it, and offer them a giant cash purse so they go nuts on the features.
At New York's version of the contest (the Orange County edition is later this summer), the course incorporated iconic NYC features including fire hydrants, banks, grates, and handrails from iconic skate spots. Spectators ranged from celebrities to skate-rats and groupies, and everyone who came out had an awesome time. Hit the jump for photos...
