Who doesn't love a good beef? Whatever the forum, there's nothing better than seeing some open competition. Especially when that forum is the land of TV commercials. Last week, Audi dropped their "Friendly Competition" commercial to show how much better they're doing than their fellow German automotive rival BMW. To the uninitiated this may seem crazy—so blatantly going at a rival in an ad—but Audi's been doing this, and honestly, that wasn't even their best one! And lately it seems every car maker has an itchy trigger finger, as we've seen a number of them taking shots at each other in commercials over the past few years. Take a look below to see five of our favorites.

#5. Hyundai vs Lexus
• Everyone loves going at Lexus. Before their Genesis hit the block and with it the string of awesome commercials, Hyundai thought it wise to compare their Sonata sedan to Lexus' top of the line, boy body sedan, the LS series, which is bold because the Sonata is no where near as good as a Lexus LS. But it showed Hyundai is a ballsy company. And we like balls. [II].

#4: Buick vs. Lexus
• As one of the brands General Motor's decided to keep alive, Buick needed a product that told customers (and investors) that one of America's most storied brands had plans to stick around for a while. That came in the form of the 2010 LaCrosse. A spacious, luxurious, albeit tame, mid-sized sedan, GM pitted it squarely against the luxury brand that made the most popular tame mid-sized luxury sedan, Lexus. In this ad, the B-Boys take an odd but bold approach: they don't just call out Lexus by name, they show that their car is every bit the same as luxurious by showing every detail of the car. Will Lexus buyers go for a Buick?

#4: Chevrolet vs. Ford
• The truck divisions of the three American car companies have been going at each others necks in commercials since the 70s. But recently, Chevy has been going at EVERYONE: Dodge, Honda, Toyota, and in this ad, Ford. Instead of comparing the actual mechanical features like towing capacity, total power, and MPG of the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado, like they do in this ad, they make fun of it for having luxuries such a step ladder. We're not "truckers" but we wouldn't mind having a step ladder. Does that make us bitch-made?

#2: BMW vs. Audi
• Over the past few years, Audi has been on a mission to topple the other two German auto makers, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. And suffice to say, they have a rough road a head of them. To smooth the course, they started airing ads and mini movies that took shots at those two brands (and Lexus, of course), and none of them said a word. Until this. BMW made an ad to show how excited BMW owners are to get into their cars. Cool. Then they released a "part 2" that showed a guy driving a car with four rings on the front trying to get into his car. Can someone say, shots returned?

#1: Audi vs. BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari
• Audi is the king of taking shots in commercials. They're like Apple in that regard. They have no problem going at anyone. In this ad they take shots at Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz (all of whom they've gone at individually) and Ferrari. Ferrari! Who takes shots at Ferrari?! Audi does.
