The Air Jordan 1 is one of the most famous basketball sneakers of all time, but it also has deep roots in another sport, too. With its durable leather upper, rubber outsole, and strong ankle support, the Air Jordan 1 became a favorite amongst skateboarders in the 1980s. While retro releases of this sneaker tend to be hard to come by, it's hard to imagine people still skating in them, but it looks like that is what Jordan Brand is encouraging people to do with the upcoming O.G. "Shadow" low colorway.

Jordan Brand took to Instagram to share a photo of this sneaker, but instead of a basketball or lifestyle related post, they shared a photo of someone skateboarding in them. The Air Jordan 1's history with skateboarding has been well documented by the brand, and it looks like they plan to continue to position it as a multi-sport sneaker. Whether you plan to skate in them or not, this drop will be a nice addition to anyone's late 2015 pickups.

This sneaker releases tomorrow for $130.
