Just last month, Nike surprised sneakerheads by dropping the Free Mercurial Superfly HTM when it unveiled its new NikeLab initiative. The Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield, and Mark Parker creation was a nod to the World Cup and inspired by Nike's signature Mercurial Superfly football boot. If you missed out, you'll get another crack at this NikeLab exclusive, but in an entirely new colorway.
The Free/Flyknit/Mercurial mashup will be available in a striking "Volt" colorway this Saturday, July 12. The sneakers will drop online on Nike.com and in-store at all six NikeLab locations worldwide. Retail will run you $200. Don't sleep because it's not too often that 'heads get a decent shot at owning an HTM creation.
