With today being National Running Day and all, let’s take a moment to look at one of the more noteworthy arrivals to the running sneaker market in recent days, the Saucony Omni 12.

Built for the traditional runner looking for stability, the latest version of the Omni series sees a trimmed down frame, making it one of the lightest shoes in its category. Yet, despite a lightweight construction, the shoe is structurally sound thanks to a PowerGrid platform (an upgrade from the previous ProGrid), and a molded support frame.

The Omni 12 features an XT-900 carbon rubber outsole for reliable traction, with flex grooves throughout the outsole that allow the foot and the shoe to move in cohesion.
