When a pair of Nike Air Max 1s are done right, it makes even the most bitter sneakerhead smile. For awhile, the Air Max 1 had its spot as the most coveted running sneaker on the market, through people trying to obtain hard-to-find models, and that status is slowly creeping back.

The Swoosh did up a pair of premium Air Max 1s that come in a "Cargo Khaki" colorway, that seems confusing at first, but it's a geometric print that features dark green, yellow, black, and white hits—all on a ripstop upper. The sneakers also include a white midsole and black laces to offset the the otherwise busy sneaker. But it doesn't stop there, the heel portion of the sneaker is black, giving it a cool effect we haven't seen Nike experiment with in the past. It's something different, and definitely a new way to get give midsoles a funked-up effect.

As of right now, the sneakers are only available overseas, but hopefully there will be a U.S. release in the near future.
