'Fortnite' Players Are Editing Dancing Thanos Into Marvel Movie Scenes

Thank you, internet.

Gamers are really enjoying the Thanos x Fortnite crossover.

In the days since the Mad Titan became a playable character in Fortnite: Battle Royale, fans have taken pleasure in their ability to control the monstrous villain of Avengers: Infinity War. Players can make Thanos retreat in bushes, eat a bucket of popcorn, and even bust a move; the latter of which has become a much-appreciated obsession among Fortnite fans.

As pointed out by Polygon, gamers have edited the dancing Thanos into the background of iconic MCU movie scenes. It’s amusing and definitely cathartic for those who were traumatized by Infinity War’s ending.

You can check out some of the dancing Thanos edits in the Reddit posts below. The Star Lord dance-off is a definite standout.

Earlier this week, Epic Games introduced the limited-time Fortnite Thanos mode, complete with the Infinity Gaunlet. It was a clever crossover that directors Joe and Anthony Russo began considering during the editing phase of Infinity War.

“Out of the blue, I get this call from Joe,” Donald Mustard, Epic Games’ worldwide creative director, told Entertainment Weekly. “And after a bit of geeking out over each other’s work, we start brainstorming these crazy ideas. It was really important that whatever we did, it had to be super authentic to both Fortnite and the Avengers: Infinity War, and something that fans of both would be excited about. About an hour later, we had the bones of this awesome idea for a limited time gameplay mode, and almost immediately our team got started.”
