As previously reported, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West want more kids. Potential health complications of another pregnancy, however, have made the couple's path to a third child increasingly difficult. As shown in the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kardashian's decision to have surgery to repair her uterus proved worrisome for the family.
"Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle," Kardashian said. "I've gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel like it's safe for me to conceive again myself. This surgery is really the one last thing I can try. I want my kids to have siblings, and I want to know that I did everything I could to make this happen."
Sadly, the surgery wasn't successful. Kardashian, on doctors' orders, was forced to use a catheter following the procedure. The doctors also decided that Kardashian should "definitely not" carry another child. "Not only has this been really painful, but now hearing that I can't carry any more kids, it couldn't get any worse," Kardashian said. Speaking with her friend Jonathan Cheban later, Kardashian revealed she had a breakdown. "I give up," Kardashian said, per People's recap.
As for alternative methods such as surrogacy, Kardashian said she and West are now open to trying them. "After talking to Kanye, I think that I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn't think it was that realistic of an option," Kardashian said. "Now I feel like that's my reality."
