Ryan Phillippe, actor and noted genius behind one of the greatest Instagram accounts of all time, is out here proving the value of love by getting engaged to Stanford Law student and longtime girlfriend Paulina Slagter. Details on the proposal have not been released by the happy couple, though E! News confirms the whole thing went down on Christmas day.
"They arrived in Miami on Sunday and had lunch at Seaspice, where they ate facing the river at the owner's table," an unnamed source tells E! News. "She was really cute and humble about the way she showed off the ring." Speaking to Howard Stern a few months back on the obviously very good status of his relationship with Slagter, Phillippe pointed to her burgeoning legal profession as a source of great inspiration. "When people see her they have these judgments because she could be a model but she's about to graduate Stanford Law," Phillippe said. "Also what's great about it, as you get older certain issues become more important to you. I'm very involved in civil rights issues, and so to be with a woman who could actually make an impact in the legal realm...that's a beautiful thing."
